You know what week it is? Chester Brown week. This week the Comics Journal will be posting several interviews/articles on Paying for It.
The first of these posts is Sean Roger's (exceptionally-well-done) interview with man-of-the-week (month? year?) Chester Brown. The interview covers everything from Chester's influences--including Fletcher Hanks's stiff style and film-director Robert Bresson's use of emotional restraint--to the true identity of Shakespeare, Dave Sim's misogyny, and Peggy's disapproval of the title 23 Whores.
While you're over at the Comics Journal, Dan Nadel has a nice wrap-up of TCAF, were he reports that "the fest was gripped by Chester Brown mania." When the D+Q crew arrives home tomorrow, I'm sure they'll have much more to report.
