Star Wars Episode 7 to Have Less Lens Flares Posting Scheduling

J.J. Abrams admits that he uses too many lens flares in the Star Trek films and Star Wars will have much less lens flares than his other works. Although the lens flares did add to his Star Trek's futuristic tone, he way over did it and his lens flares have virtually become a joke. Thankfully, Abrams will try and keep the lens flares to a minimum in Star Wars, and keep the movie from being "Star Wars Episode 7: Attack of the Lens Flares," especially since Star Wars has a more lived-in, gritty tone than Star Trek (at least the Original Trilogy did). Episode 7 is also said to be shot on actual 35mm film rather than digital film so that the new movie will a more retro look, unlike the Prequels, which where filmed in digital. This is a great move because these new Star Wars films need to be more like the Original Trilogy, especially since the film will include the original cast members.

Saoirse Ronan in Star Wars Ep. 7?

Saoirse Ronanis heavily rumored to be reading for the part of a lead villainess or heroine in the upcoming Star Wars Ep.7. Since Saoirse reportedly turned down the role of the Scarlett Witch in Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel, it would only be logical to think that maybe a possible role in Star Wars is the reasoning behind her discussion. She is not that well known enough for me to consider her too "famous" for the role, but at the same time Ronan's performances have been great, even though I am not a fan of some of her movies. Despite her movie "Hannah" being a nonsensical attempt at an art-house action flick, she can certainly handle an action role and her acting was still very good in the film as well as in "The Way Back." She also received critical praise for "The Lovely Bones," which I have not seen. The blight on her résumé is that was in the critically panned, "The Host," which was based on a book by Stephenie Meyer, but I would not hold it against her. So, other than that, Saoirse Ronan would be a great addition to the Star Wars franchise. Maybe she could play fan-favorite Jaina Solo. There is a striking resemblance between the two, especially when she has her hair dyed brunette. Overall, this is probably the best casting news I have heard coming from the film outside of the original cast returning. Below is a video with more about the story, along with the possible role of Benedict Cumberbatch. What is your opinion of this rumor, disappointed or excited? Please comment below.

Star Wars Ep. 7 December Release Date?

While not official, reports are suggesting that Star Wars Episode 7 might be released in December of 2015!? Considering that the other Star Wars films where released in May and that they where the pinnacle of Summer Blockbusters, one would assume that Star Wars Episode 7 would be released in the summer. However, considering that Disney's second biggest upcoming film, Avengers: Age of Ultron, will be releasing in May and the next Pirates of the Caribbean at a later time that summer, it is probably a smart choice for Disney to not compete with their other films that summer. Basically, Episode 7 will be replacing the Hobbit for the biggest movie of the winter movie season.
On a side note, it is certainly early to make that call now, but I believe that Star Wars has a good chance of being the highest grossing movie of all-time. Despite the Star Wars prequels disappointing a considerable portion of audiences, Star Wars still has the largest fan base of any franchise and it is the most popular franchise of all-time. Almost everyone has seen the original Star Wars films or have at least heard about them, and I predict that almost everyone will go see the film, particularly if the film is as high quality as I hope it will be. Even if it is not the highest grossing film in terms of money, it will at least sell the most tickets compared to films like Avatar, that had ridiculous ticket prices. What are your thoughts on the December release date? Do you think it will be the highest grossing film of all-time? Please comment below.
