The final book collecting the last three instalments of the Aya series arrives in stores this week. Aya: Love in Yop City weighs in at nearly 400 pages and presents the conclusion of the story, all of this material that has never before been published in English. Set in the once-thriving Ivory Coast of the 1970s, Aya is written by Marguerite Abouet and illustrated by Clément Oubrerie. Here's a few sample pages:
