Landscapes of The Klondike



Zach Worton's debut graphic novel is a detailed and thorough account of the Klondike Gold Rush. Worton is at his best when depicting the barren, evocative landscapes of the Canadian far north. Maybe his sensibility was developed growing up in the wide open spaces of Saskatchewan (although the land is mostly flat) or maybe it comes from living in a country that claims The Group of Seven as part of its artistic heritage. Whatever the case, these are very impressive. Here's a few samples below. The Klondike is available to order in the current Diamond January Previews catalogue and will be out in stores in late March.
