Roy Freeman talks about his dad

Back when we were doing Don Freeman's Skitzy, I did a bunch of research on the man but I didn't have the good fortune to see this series of personal remembrances (1, 2, 3, 4) from his son Roy. Really fantastic personal stuff about the relationship between a boy and his very famous dad. I would recommend bookmarking the site ( Vintage Children's Books My Kid Loves) that hosted these remembrances. It's really great. The author Burgin Streetman digs deep into kids books with lots of pics. Anyone who has kids knows that there are lousy, good, and truly transcendent kids books out there and many are lost to time. Streetman is performing a service!
