How We Score Movies.

There has been some confusion about the we score some of the movies we review so is the a explanation.

10/10- Masterpiece: Virtually flawless. Very few Movies are absolutely perfect, but 10s represent the pinnacle of film brilliance. It doesn't get any better than this.

Example: Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings.

9.0 to 9.9- Amazing: A fantastic achievement with only minor flaws or imperfections. If a movie scores a 9.0 or better you know it's a must-watch for anyone who enjoys good movies.

Example: Higher end: The Matrix, Inception, Captain America, Iron Man, Kelly's Heroes.
Lower end: Braveheart,

8.0 to 8.9- Great: An excellentm movie experience that misses the boat in just a few key areas. Films that score in this range still are highly recommended.

Example: Higher end: The Dark Knight  ,. Lower end: The Expendables

7.0 to 7.9- Good: An enjoyable movie that has some obvious flaws. Movie scoring in the high end of this range might have some first-rate elements, whereas the lower 7s have some serious shortcomings that keep them from ever achieving classic status.

Example: Higher end: 300. Lower End: Salt

6.0 to 6.9- Okay: Passable, but just barely. Movie in this range have more blemishes than strengths, but still might be worth a look if you're into the movie's genre.

Example: Rob Roy

5.0 to 5.9-Mediocre: Movie scoring between a 5.0 and 5.9 have numerous major shortcomings. Generally only fans of the particular genre will get any enjoyment out of this one.

Example: Gulliver's Travels (2010)

4.0 to 4.9- Bad: Not exactly good at all.

Example: Collateral Damage

3.0 to 3.9- Awful: Any movie show that scores in or below this range isn't worth your time.

Example: Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem

2.0 to 2.9- Painful: Movies of this caliber are way below bad.

Example: To Kill a Mockingbird

1.0 to 1.9- Unbearable: This is worse than bad. It's physically painful to watch.

Example: The Bobo

0.0 to 0.9- Disaster: The absolute worst of the worst. There are no redeeming qualities, just total non-entertainment.
