From construction to cartooning

Pascal Girard has had one of the more unlikely career paths for a cartoonist. He worked as a sheet metal worker until he was in his mid twenties and apparently didn't begin to draw before he was about 24. Now, 6 years later D+Q has just published Reunion, his third book in English, and I continue to be amazed by how talented he is as a cartoonist and by how he's honed these skills in such a short period of time.




The book hits stores in the next couple of weeks and Pascal will be on hand for the U.S. debut of Reunion at this weekend's MOCCA Festival in New York.
